Bee Wear apparel is more than just clothing—it’s clothing for a cause!

We’re on a mission to raise awareness about declining bee populations. At Bee Wear, we are pollinating positivity with t-shirts and hats in fun designs for everyone, from the “Queen Bee” in your life to your favorite teen to your local beekeeper.

Why bees, you ask?

When my sister-in-law visited from Scotland decades ago, she made me aware of a crisis that hadn’t yet been making headlines here in the US—declining honeybee populations. Amidst all of the other problems across the globe, I found this issue particularly alarming. I think it was because it was so immediate, happening right here in my own backyard and impacting the local farms I knew across Worcester County.

As the issue became more widely publicized in America, my fascination with bees grew. Pollinators like bees are responsible for bringing 1 out of 3 bites of food to our table and helping to propagate a wide variety of plant species. Unfortunately, honeybee populations have been declining in recent years due to shrinking habitats, climate change, parasites, disease, and pesticide use.

After working for over two decades as an art director for several high-profile Worcester publications, I began teaching graphic communications at Worcester Technical High School. Helping students learn how to create and produce original designs inspired me to try my hand at building my own apparel brand. I wanted to design something that people would love to wear; but, I also wanted to make a larger impact. When it came to deciding what cause to support, the answer was easy—bees!

All Bee Wear apparel is 100% cotton and screen-printed or embroidered in Worcester, Massachusetts. You can be proud to wear your Bee Wear shirts and hats knowing that while you’re spreading smiles you’re also giving back to something bigger. Bee Wear donates 10% of annual profits to organizations that support bee populations. Plus, with our free shipping, your items will fly your way for free anywhere in the continental United States.
